10th Anniversary of J&S Tech Designs!

​J&S Tech Designs is celebrating its 10th anniversary. It’s hard to believe it, but it’s been ten years. We’ve grown and evolved quite a bit over that time.  Founded back in June of 2007 by Jim and Susan Nagy, the  company has accomplished a lot in the last decade.

CES 2015: All the new technologies, trends, and what’s next

Among the few events we watch out for annually, the International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) is by far one of the conferences that almost everyone is eagerly anticipating. With the continuous development of technologies today, not just industry hacks are the ones interested to know what’s next - regular consumers are also taking an interest. Taking place in Las Vegas on January 6-9, the CES 2015 has plenty of surprising and interesting technology to watch out for, and you’ll be the first to find out more about it in this post.

History Making SpaceX Launch

SpaceX has been charged with launching the Falcon 9 Rocket and the unmanned Dragon capsule to the International Space Station with cargo.  They were originally set to launch Tuesday January 6th but, due to issues with an actuator on the Falcon 9’s second stage, the launch was postponed.  Currently, they are expecting to launch early Saturday morning (January 10th)

Gizmodo has a new review of the Oculus Rift technology.  Gizmodo write Leslie Horn got to experience Oculus Rift firsthand in a marketing jumpstart for Christopher Nolan's new save the world space movie Interstellar.  Horn found the experience fantastic.

Tech-Friendly Cities Are Battlegrounds for Startups

From Boston to San Francisco, start-ups like Uber and Airbnb are facing challenge after challenge.  In my opinion?  I think these are necessary hoops for these companies to have to jump through.  Normal cab companies, hotels, etc. have licensing costs, insurance obligations, etc.  Why not start-ups as well?

​As a consultant, you’ll run into situations nearly daily where you are meeting new people who want to hear about what you do. I get questions regularly on topics that I consult on. Many times these conversations come up on the spot and out of a normal business environment.  So, what do you do when you’re approached, totally unprepared, and you have to talk about your business out of the blue? Do you know your business well enough that you can stop whatever you’re doing and come up with an intelligent informed conversation? As a consultant, this is a must.
