Adventures in Bad Customer Experience AND Bad User Experience – Part Two.

When I last left you I was being sent across town to start all over in picking out my phone.  Unhappy newborn and two year old in tow, we trekked to the other side of town in hopes of getting this ordeal over with.  When we arrived at the next T Mobile store (at about 2 hours before closing) there were only two other customers in the whole store, so I had high hopes for a speedy visit.  My high expectations keep leaving me disappointed in these situations...

Congrats to Our Winners and Stay Tuned for our Next Contest

Well, our Twitter contest has officially wrapped and I'd say it's fair to say that we can call it a success!  We are sending out a $50 Visa Gift Card this week to each of our lucky winners: Hope Gilroy of Pennsylvania and Kimberly Snyder of North Carolina.  What did they do to win?  They simply retweeted our content!

Adventures in Bad Customer Experience AND Bad User Experience – Part One.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m slightly technologically challenged. So, when my trusty rusty phone of 3 years was giving me serious problems, I decided it was time for an upgrade. Problem? I couldn’t take the videos off of my phone without losing the audio on them for some reason. This meant that my memory was full ALL. THE. TIME. Want to take a picture? Well, you better delete a picture first. It was time to move on. After 7 years with the same cell company, T Mobile, I thought I could get a great deal on a great new phone with a smooth transition. No problem, right? Wrong. So completely, unbelievably wrong. Let me share my journey with you for two reasons: 1.) So that you don’t repeat my mistakes and 2.) Because Customer AND User Experiences are so so so important. Companies fail because of bad customer experiences and bad user experiences. Don’t be a failed company.

EMV Technology May Mean the End for Coin
Coin’s product launch was set for this Summer 2014 and just a few weeks ago they delayed the product launch until Spring 2015. We can only assume that this has a lot to do with the new chip and pin technology that they are lacking. They are offering a beta program to their 10,000 pre-order customers to try out, but this isn’t solving the problem.

Why iPhone 6 Issues will “Bend” but not Break Apple

Apple released it’s much anticipated iPhone 6 and 6 Plus a few weeks ago. The launch was incredible and set a new record for pre-orders. Sales of the phones topped 10 million sold during the phone’s launch weekend alone. Both models were extremely popular, but the iPhone 6 Plus sold out not long after pre-orders began and the shipping dates now aren’t expected for 3 to 4 weeks due to such high demand. Successful? I’d say so. Since the launch… things have been a little rocky for Apple’s newest iPhone. From #bendgate to iOS8 issues, this hasn’t actually been a smooth launch.
