Checking in with the Next SpaceX Launch

Since we last checked in with SpaceX, they’ve been busy.  We’ve all been anxiously awaiting another launch of their reusable rocket.  Recently, SpaceX released a glimpse of its first rocket-landing site on dry land in a picture at Florida's Cape Canaveral Air Force Station that reads "Landing Complex 1." They also released pictures of the company's next Dragon cargo spacecraft.

Google's Project Loon Making Huge Strides for Airborne Internet

It’s been a little while since we’ve checked in with Google’s Project Loon.  That doesn’t mean that their progress has slowed in the slightest.  To recap, the goal of Project Loon is to provide internet access to parts of the world where it isn’t available by way of airborne balloons.  They are definitely making huge strides towards just that.

​As a consultant, it is important that you help your client see past their preconceived notions and get into the customer's customer needs and wants.  This can be difficult to do because your client has been looking at the same problem with their same perspective for so long.  You need to take a step back and look at the situation by focusing on the needs of your customer’s customer.  A good way to achieve this is by using personas.

FCC Sets Regulations on Net Neutrality: What This Could Mean for the Future of Internet

In case you live under a rock, on Feb. 26th, 2015 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted in favor of new net neutrality regulations!  This is a big relief to those of us who have been avid supporters of net neutrality regulations and what that could mean for the freedom of the internet. You can read more about our thoughts and a little background: here. These new regulations, if fully implemented, would mean that the internet service providers could not discriminate which sites and services customers would get access to. Big deal.  Keeping the internet open and free.
